To-do list for Manitoba: ✔ I am hoping to do a better job on the Winnipeg Flood of 1950. Does anyone have pictures available to make the section a little more encompassing? jdobbin 23:00, 21 April 2006 (UTC) Not done ✔ * I just had occasion to refer to the article Geography of Manitoba. While parts of it are well done, section # 3. "Landscape past and present" needs work. I worked on the 1st paragraph a bit but the whole section needs to be rethought to be more geographic and inclusive of the whole province. Any geography buffs reading this; take a look. If you have a minute, please check the section in question. Thanks in advance! --Stormbay 02:45, 8 May 2007 (UTC) Done ✔ Somehow, Manitoba is a featured article in the Spanish Wikipedia. Could someone who speaks spanish, or at least understands it come and improve this article using information from the Spanish Wikipedia? Thanks! Dispute about Infobox content
[edit]An issue has come up: should the infobox to this article contain the field "government_type", filled in with "Parliamentary constitutional monarchy". Since this issue affects all ten provinces and the three territories, a Request for Comment has been started on the Canadian Wikipedians Notice Board. If you are interested in this issue, please come to the Notice Board and contribute to the discussion. Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 01:01, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
Annotations on map
[edit]I looked at the use of {{Infobox province or territory of Canada}}, and I am completely stumped to figure out the template causes the feature to appear, so if someone can tell me how the magic is being done ("Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." - Arthur C. Clarke) I would appreciate it. I mean, I've written some really hairy templtes that did amazing things, but this one has amazed me.
My question is this: how the hell are annotations appearing on the map?
I mean, it's not using {{Annotated image}} so I can't for the life of me figure out how it was done. I'll keep looking, but I can't for the life of me figure out how.
"Understanding of things by me is only made possible by viewers (of my comments) like you."
Thank you.

- Hi Rfc1394, {{Infobox province or territory of Canada}} has built into it {{Canada provinces map}} which places the annotations. Nikkimaria (talk) 21:52, 1 May 2024 (UTC)
