rule bent for old age?
[edit]That was done, as I recall reading, for Casey Stengel in 1965. The idea was that he was active in baseball into old age, so there was a bending of the rule so he could be inducted while still living.

Origins of Baseball, Stallball and Cricket
[edit]Can someone expand on why Baseball (and variant rounders), Stallball and Cricket all seem to have been invented, or have their origins in and around Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex in England? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.93.134.176 (talk) 16:25, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
New logo
[edit]The logo featured on the page is no longer in use. Per the Museum's website, the seams on the baseball have been simplified and the typeface is set slighter bolder. Lappling64 (talk) 18:54, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
